Positive Reinforcement

Start the day off right with a positive mantra. Something you will say every day as you hop our of bed.

Some great examples: “Today is going to be the best day ever!” , “Something good is going to happen today!”, “I have enough, I do enough, I am enough!”

I know you are probably thinking, hell…. how am I ever going to do this after really hard and crappy days?  Do it, force yourself on these mornings, followed by nights that were too short or mornings that you wake up feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Why?

These nine words put you in the right mindset for the day ahead.

What makes a day good or bad isn’t the events that occur, but rather your response to them. A wise guy once told me, “Either you run the day or the day runs you.”

I want to you to put your mind in a GOOD state right away…because left unchecked your brain will try to tell you the things that are WRONG…but through positive thinking, you can overcome it.

For example, Benjamin Franklin, started and ended his day by asking two self-improvement questions: In the morning he asked himself, “What good shall I do this day?” In the evening, he wrapped up by asking, “What good have I done today?”

Pick a phrase or question that resonates with you. It could be as simple as smiling and saying “Thank you” out loud and acknowledging being gifted with another day. One other thing that puts me in a great mood, is actually giving someone else a compliment. Instead of thinking it….say it out loud. It helps!
